A quick study on carrots and migraines. More info coming soon!
In my quest to remember why carrots balance hormones, I went to the farmers' market and loaded up on these gorgeous rainbow carrots. After I took photos, created a printable info sheet, social graphics, and made my favorite detox salad, I was left with a ton of carrot tops.
Hence this quick study on an imaginary cookbook cover (one I'd love to have in my kitchen right about now).
When I first read this article by Lauren at Empowered Sustenance, I was convinced.
I started eating a carrot a day, pinning tons of carrot-based recipes and doodling veggies on post-its. Then a few weeks later, my husband asked me why I kept making this carrot salad. I knew why - something about estrogen dominance...detoxing...PMS.
But I couldn't get my thoughts in line enough to explain why I was so excited to eat raw carrots.
And so back to my design roots I went to make sense of what I learned. I pulled the information apart and rebuilt in a way that would make it memorable, and easy on the eyes. This quick little print out is now on my fridge, and I can finally carry on a semi-intelligent conversation about what I learned.
